The obverse of 2019 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coins features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Introduced in 2003, this design from Susanna Blunt is just the second of a monarch completed by a Canadian artist and the first since Elizabeth II’s father to depict the monarch without a crown.
On the reverse of 2019 Canadian Gold Maple Leafs is the image of the sugar maple leaf. Based upon the original 1979 from Walter Ott, this image beautifully captures the natural details of the national symbol of Canada.
