America the Beautiful is scheduled to run through 2021, and will eventually feature images representing a national park, monument, specific moment, or individual from American history. Each of the 50 US states, the District of Columbia, and territories such as Guam and American Somoa, will be represented by the end of the series.
Each coin available in this product listing has a near-perfect grade of MS69. This indicates that each still has its full, original luster, and has no more than two contact marks, blemishes, or surface flaws visible. Though not a proof coin, these bullion products do display a proof-like appearance to the finish.
On the reverse side of these coins is the image of the hot springs at the national park in Arkansas. Engravings include “Arkansas,” “HOT SPRINGS,” “E Pluribus Unum,” and the year of minting. The obverse side displays the common images found on American quarters in circulation. President George Washington’s left-profile portrait, designed in 1932 by John Flanagan and based on a 1786 bust by William Cousins, is featured in the center.
The United States Mint produces the America the Beautiful coins at the Philadelphia Mint and San Francisco Mint. These Arkansas coins were the first released in the ATB coin series.
